"Dark powers whose black deeds escape even the light of the
moon, behold now the radiance of the power of love! I shall destroy
all who dare threaten this world! I am the Scourge of Evil, the
108th generation of Devil Hunter, Yohko! Coming at you!"

Introduction
The Japanese name for this series is Mamono Hunter Yohko, which
translates into English as Devil Hunter Yohko, although
Demon Hunter Yohko could be another translation. It is a six OAV
series about your typical atypical boy-crazy teenage girl, Mano Yohko,
who finds out rather abruptly and much to her initial chagrin, that she is
the next generation, the 108th to be exact, in a long line of Mamono Hunters.
Unfortunately, she doesn't have long to ponder her new status as a Mamono
Hunter, because the mamono are aware of her and they don't want to be friends...
Mamono Hunter Yohko was created by Maruyama Masao/Mutsuki Juzo, and the
original character designs were done by Miyao Takashi/Miyao Gaku. The story
is fairly good with enough cute details to keep it interesting, and while
the animation is not breathtaking it is decent overall and gets much better
as the series progresses. The music is pretty good overall and has quite
a few tracks that are execellent, IMO.
