While the GCA Repository service is freely available for use by anyone who registers for an account, there are rules that you must adhere to when using this service.

GCA Repository Terms of Service ("TOS")

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

    GCA Repository provides its services to you, subject to the following Terms of Service ("TOS"), which may be updated by us from time to time. We will notify you of any changes to the TOS by sending you an e-mail notice, but we are not liable for failure to note changes to the TOS.   2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

    The GCA Repository provies a place to publicly archive and publish GURPS® Character Assistant ("GCA") material (the "Service"), consisting of GCA character files, data files, print/export sheets, and related files ("Content").

  3. REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS

    In consideration of your use of the GCA Repository Service, you agree to:

    1. Adhere to the rules presented in the TOS;
    2. Uphold local laws, as applicable to your actions on the site or when using the Service;
    3. Honor requests made by GCA Repository designees, as applicable to your actions on the site;
    4. Check for updates to the TOS.

  4. MEMBER ACCOUNT, PASSWORD, AND SECURITY

    You will attain the ability to upload your content to GCA Repository through your account upon completing the GCA Repository's registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

    1. Immediately notify GCA Repository of any unauthorized use of your account, or any other breach of security, by e-mailing the GCA Repository administrators;
    2. Ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session, if your computer will be used by others.

    GCA Repository cannot, and will not, be liable for your failure to comply with this section.

    You grant GCA Repository the non-exclusive rights to publish your uploaded content on GCA Repository; these non-exclusive publishing rights end when you remove your conent from GCA Repository.

  5. MEMBER CONDUCT

    You understand that all Content is the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that you, not GCA Repository, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload or otherwise make available via the GCA Repository. GCA Repository does not control the Content published via the Service and does not guarantee the quality of such Content. You understand that by using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. Under no circumstances will GCA Repository be liable in any way for any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind, incurred as a result of the use of any Content uploaded or otherwise made available via the Service.

    You agree not to use the Service to:

    1. Impersonate any person or entity;
    2. Upload or otherwise make available Content that you do not have the legal right to make available under any law, including, but not limited to, Content that infringes any trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party;
    3. Upload or otherwise make available Content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;
    4. Upload or otherwise make available Content that contains unsolicited advertisements, promotional material, spam, etc;
    5. Interfere with or disrupt the Service.

    You acknowledge that while GCA Repository does not pre-screen Content, GCA Repository and its designees shall have the right, but not the obligation, in their sole discretion to refuse or remove any Content that is available via the Service that violates the TOS or is otherwise objectionable. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any Content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content.

  6. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE

    GCA Repository reserves the right, in its sole discretion and at any time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service, in part or whole, with or without notice. You agree that GCA Repository shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

  7. TERMINATION

    You agree that GCA Repository, in its sole discretion, may terminate your account and remove and discard any Content, if GCA Repository believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter, or spirit, of the TOS. You agree that any termination of your access to the Service under any provision of this TOS may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that GCA Repository may immediately deactivate or delete your account and bar any further access to the GCA Repository.

  8. COPYRIGHTS

    GCA Repository respects the intellectual property of others, and we ask our users to do the same. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please contact GCA Repository by e-mailing the GCA Repository administrators.

  9. VIOLATIONS

    Please report any violations of the TOS by e-mailing the GCA Repository administrators.
